Terms of Use.

These terms govern the public LegalMemory demo provided by Eigenwelt Labs, operated by Poensgen Technology UG (haftungsbeschränkt), Berlin, Germany (“Eigenwelt”, “we”, “us”), at legalmemory.eigenweltlabs.com (the “Demo”). By using the Demo, you agree to them.

LegalMemory itself is open source. If you run the appliance in your own infrastructure, these terms do not apply — only the project's licence does.

What the Demo is for

The Demo exists only so you can try LegalMemory against a prepared sample corpus. It is not a production service, carries no availability commitment, and may be reset, changed, or withdrawn at any time. Anything in the Demo may be lost without notice.

No client or matter data

Do not enter or upload personal, confidential, privileged, client, or matter data into the Demo. What you type is sent to a language model in order to answer it; the details are in the Demo privacy notice. The documents shown in the Demo are demonstration material and come from no client or customer.

Account and acceptable use

Access requires an account. Keep your credentials secret and do not share the account. You must not overload the Demo, bypass its access or security controls, query it automatically beyond what trying it out requires, or use it to infringe anyone's rights or applicable law. We may suspend access without notice for misuse, a security risk, or excessive load.

No legal advice, no warranty

The Demo does not provide legal advice. Its output can be incorrect, incomplete, or outdated, and is not intended for use in a matter. The Demo is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranty.

Liability

Nothing limits liability for intent, gross negligence, injury to life, body or health, an expressly assumed guarantee, or mandatory statutory liability. For slight negligence we are liable only for breach of a material contractual obligation and only for the foreseeable damage typical of this agreement. Because the Demo is provided free of charge and for evaluation only, liability is otherwise excluded to the extent permitted by law.

Changes, law, and contact

We may update these terms prospectively and will change the date above. German law applies. The courts of Berlin have jurisdiction to the extent permitted by law.
