Privileged work never leaves the building.
Generic legal assistants route your clients' matters through someone else's cloud. LegalWork inverts that: the agent, the documents, and the model all run on your hardware, so confidentiality is the default rather than a setting you have to trust.
On-device by design
Every document, prompt, and draft stays on your machine. No vendor cloud, no shared tenancy, nothing for a third party to leak or be subpoenaed for.
Bring your own model
Dozens of adapters: OpenAI, Anthropic, Amazon Bedrock, and every major provider with your own keys — plus all open-source models running locally with zero data egress. Free for individuals.
Agentic, not autocomplete
LegalWork plans the task, reads across folders of matters, spawns sub-agents, and returns real deliverables — DOCX memos, redlines, and review tables.
Skills, MCP & Learnings
Teach it your firm's playbooks as Skills, connect your systems over MCP, and capture every partner correction as a Learning it reuses next time.

Free to start. Yours to scale.
Use LegalWork free and open source, forever, on your own machine. When the firm is ready, roll it out across teams with shared playbooks and central controls.

LegalWork, answered plainly.
Is LegalWork really free?
Yes. The LegalWork desktop app is free for individual use on Mac and Windows. You bring your own model — run open-source models locally at no cost, or connect your own API keys to a hosted model. Firms and teams that need shared deployment, SSO, and admin controls can contact us.
Is LegalWork open source?
Yes. LegalWork is open source under the MIT license. You can read the code, audit exactly what runs on your machine, fork it, and self-host — there is no black box between your privileged files and the agent working over them. The firm deployment adds SSO, admin controls, and support on top of the same open core.
Does my data leave my computer?
No. The agent, your documents, and — if you run a local model — inference all stay on your machine. If you choose to connect a hosted model with your own key, only the prompt you send goes to that provider. Nothing routes through an Eigenwelt server, so privileged matters stay behind your own wall.
Which models can I use with LegalWork?
Any model LegalWork supports: open-source models running locally on your hardware, or hosted models from 50+ providers connected with your own keys. You can pick the right model per task and swap at any time — LegalWork is the cowork layer, not the model.
What can LegalWork actually do for a lawyer?
It is an agentic cowork app for legal work: mass NDA and contract review, privileged gap analysis, drafting and memos, redlines, and review tables. It plans the task, reads across whole folders of matters, spawns sub-agents, and returns real deliverables like DOCX memos and Word documents — all on-device.
Do I need to be technical to use it?
No. LegalWork is a point-and-click desktop app. Download it for Mac or Windows, choose a model, and describe the task in plain language — no terminal, no setup guide, no infrastructure to stand up.
