This notice covers the public LegalMemory demo operated by Eigenwelt at legalmemory.eigenweltlabs.com. They do not apply where you run LegalMemory in your own infrastructure: there you are the controller, and Eigenwelt receives no data from your instance.

What the demo is

The demo shows LegalMemory against a prepared sample corpus. The documents on screen are demonstration material and come from no client or customer. The demo is not a production service: it is not intended for you to upload or enter your own documents, matter data, or client data.

Data we process

• Account and sign-in data you provide when registering (name, email address, authentication data). Sign-in is handled by our provider Clerk.
• What you type into the chat, and the answers and citations the demo produces in response.
• Technical logs: IP address, time, address requested, browser and device information, and error and security events.

Model requests

To answer a question, the demo sends what you typed, together with the passages from the sample corpus used to answer it, to a language model. This goes through a gateway operated by Eigenwelt. For that reason, do not enter anything confidential.

Purposes and legal bases

Account and usage data is processed to provide the demo you asked for (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). Log data is processed to operate the demo, keep it stable, and detect misuse (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Hosting and providers

• The demo runs on a Google Cloud virtual machine in region europe-west3 (Frankfurt am Main, Germany).
• Sign-in and account management: Clerk, Inc., San Francisco, California, USA, under its data processing agreement. Any transfer to the United States relies on an adequacy decision or the EU Standard Contractual Clauses under Chapter V GDPR.

Retention

Account data is kept while your demo account exists; we delete it on request. Technical logs are deleted regularly once they are no longer needed for operation and security. The sample corpus and the demo itself may be reset or withdrawn at any time.

Your rights

You may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, or portability, object to processing, and complain to a competent supervisory authority. Contact chris@eigenweltlabs.com.
